Can't login to NAS after connecting a PC to Azure AD?

If you can no longer login to a NAS or similar local server after connecting to Azure AD all you need to do is to put .\ in front of the login name. So if you login to your NAS using the username of Simon then the login name will be .\Simon

If you have Windows Hello, you need to dismiss login in with PIN or face and pick username and password login.
