Office LAN infrastructure options

When we do an infrastructure installation for Flex Office Space providers or SME's we present 3 options:


  1. Cisco Meraki - the best in the marketplace, and expensive. It has mandatory ongoing licensing costs. This is our preferred choice as it is simple to manage via the cloud and rarely gives us issues.

  2. Zyxel - for companies with a limited budget or that do not want to pay ongoing license costs (licenses are optional and give extra features. Slightly trickier to manage, but their firewalls and switches are very reliable. We've seen a few issues with their Wi-Fi access points in the past.

  3. Opex only - this solution is priced on the square footage of your office and is a monthly opex spend with no capex (unless you need to buy racks, UPS, CCTV, AV etc as part of the project)


As you can see, there is a solution to fit everyone's needs out there.
